The Albums That Stay

Most albums belong to a chapter of our lives.

They soundtrack a season, a relationship, a road trip, or a summer. We listen to them endlessly for a while and then eventually move on.

But every once in a while, an album does something different.

It stays.

For me, one of those albums is Sticks and Stones by New Found Glory.

Every time I hear it, I am reminded of the freedom that comes with being young and believing the world is wide open. It takes me back to a specific time in my life, but it also connects me to people I love.

The song Sonny holds a special place in my heart because it reminds me of my grandmother. The song eventually inspired a tattoo that I was fortunate enough to have done by Jordan Pundik himself.

That record is more than a collection of songs to me.

It is part of my story.

Part of my DNA.

Part of the legacy I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I think everyone has an album like that.

Maybe it is tied to a first love. A best friend. A parent. A loss. A victory. A moment that changed everything.

Those are the albums that stay.

Those are the albums worth preserving.

Those are the albums that deserve vinyl.
